Spotify, the music streaming service, offers the daily mix feature. As its name suggests, it offers an automatically generated playlist based on your tastes.
The Daily Mix is designed to include some of the most listened to songs by the user and new alternatives (based on the genres most listened to by the user).
But, it seems that the feature is not working well for some. The recommendations of the Daily Mix Algorithm on Spotify are not to the user’s liking (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

One of the issues reported relates to the repeatability of recommendations. Spotify’s daily mix still features the same songs for some users.
I really like the concept of the daily commute. I think it’s a great way to hear the songs I love along with the news I care about in the morning. BUT the songs between podcasts are always the same. My Spotify Wrapped was very predictable this year as most of the songs were on my Daily Drive playlist. That being said, however, I don’t listen to it as often as I did because I was fed up with the same songs every morning.

Hello, I have been using spotify for over 6 years and have created at least 20-30 playlists during this time. I don’t use the “Like” button or the “Library” at all. Although I listen to my playlists all the time, the weekly discovery lists that Spotify makes for me have nothing to do with my musical tastes. Is there a way for me to resolve this?

two of my daily mix playlists are full of mainstream pop and rap music, which I don’t listen to at all.
it’s very weird. I only listen to rock, metal, jazz and Middle Eastern, and the app puts drake, lil nas x and that doja cat in my face.
recently one of the playlists returned to normal, but then returned to pop.
why is this, and how can i stop it? it is starting to get very annoying.
