Chris Brown makes a strong statement on Instagram.

Who writes the best love songs? Some of the greatest love songs have been written and performed by Boyz II Men, D’Angelo, Aaliyah, Sade, Lionel Richie and others. Chris Brown has also written a slew of heartfelt records over his decades-long career, which prompted him to make a pretty strong claim on Instagram this morning.

Taking inspiration from his Instagram story, Chris Brown suggested his photo might be next to the definition of “love songs” in any specific dictionary.

“I don’t just write love songs… I follow love songs,” Breezy boasted Thursday morning. He provided no clarification of his thoughts, simply leaving this post for all of his fans for debate in the comments.

It comes just a day after the multi-talented singer / songwriter announced he was in no rush to release his next album. Last summer, Brown announced that his new album would be called Costs. At the time, fans were excited to receive another body of work from the award-winning singer. However, he made it clear that he wanted people to miss him before he gave up.

“I don’t let go of my album until I’m ready,” he wrote on Instagram. “I have to give you all a chance to miss me.
