Eric Church takes his hat off to classic rock songs in new song, ‘Heart On Fire’

Eric Church has just released “Heart On Fire”, another new track from his upcoming three-part album, Heart soul, and fans can’t get enough of it.

The song serves as the opening track of the Heart part of the album and was written only by Church. The upbeat tune is reminiscent of some of Church’s earlier work and showcases his country and southern rock influences.

Intended to be a moment to remember on Church’s live show, “Heart On Fire” reunites with Church thinking back to a young sweetheart while also referencing several classic rock hits such as Don Henley’s “New York Minute,” ” Paradise City “by Guns N ‘Roses and” All Shook Up “by Elvis Presley.

“We weren’t old enough to drink but we really did / The hat turned around singing ‘Paradise City’ / That look on your face was full of young desire / Drenching my soul in gas and putting my heart on fire / Heart on fire, ”he sings.

“‘Heart On Fire’ is the first song of the Heart album, and normally if we had four songs on our hearts, the way we did that, we’d cut three and make one, ”says Church. “It started to be cool that this time around we could look at that similarity and the themes where you can put the songs together and know that we wrote them within that time frame of each other.”

Pre-orders for Heart soul are now accessible to the general public. The middle part of the album, &, will be released as a vinyl record available exclusively to Church Choir members.

Church revealed plans to release the three-part album in a video message to fans on Jan.21.

“I have three albums coming out in April. They came out of my 28 days in the mountains of North Carolina, where the songs were recorded and written. The collection is entitled Heart soul, “he explained.

Heart will be available on Friday April 16 & will be available for the church choir on Friday April 20 and the final part, Soul, is due out on Friday April 23.
