Camden’s Pierre Doherty is coming out with Frenchman Frédéric Lo for a new indie-pop record, and the charming “You Can’t Keep It From Me Forever” is the delicious first taste.
from Nashville Joy Oladokun creates infectious indie-folk on his latest “Keeping the Light On.” During this time, the Sherlocks lay down fierce rocker with “Sorry” and show that guitar rock is booming in the UK after Sam Fender. Swedish electropopper Tove Styrke yearns for physical, real love even if it breaks her heart on “Show Me Love.” The alternate arrangement showcases his powerful vocals, and elements of country music spice up the sound.
We’re back in post-punk with Brooklyn’s BODEGA and their hyper-rhythmic, dance-punk aesthetic. We look forward to the next one from these guys. British pop singer Joyful drops a hook-filled banger with “Cherry.” Leeds’ sea feet are a newer band with their first track of 2018. Today they share the rocker “Gold Stars” which makes them an indie band worth watching.
