So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Every week we review a handful of new albums (from all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie” and talk about what metal comes out. We post music news, track premieres and more all day. We are updating a weekly playlist of some of our current favorite tracks. Here is a daily summary with a bunch of interesting and recently released songs in one place.
DJ KHALED – “STAYING ALIVE” (ft. DRAKE & LIL BABY)
DJ Khaled is releasing a new album titled God made on August 26 via We The Best/Epic, and new single “Staying Alive” is an R&B duet between Drake and Lil Baby that interpolates the Bee Gees’ hit of the same name.

REASON & PLAY – “IMPALAS & HYDRAULICS”
Reason and The Game have teamed up for a love letter to West Coast hip hop.

JULS & SEVANA – “ONCE AGAIN”
UK-based Ghanaian Afrobeats producer Juls and Jamaican reggae/R&B singer Sevana have joined forces for this cross-continental, transgender collaboration. “I wrote this song about an ex that I couldn’t let go of and wanted to fuck one last time because I was alone,” Sevana said. “It’s not a great feeling or a great place to be, but at least I channeled those feelings into a song.”

MADONNA & SAUCY SANTANA – “GWORRLLLLLLL MATERIAL!”
Florida rapper Saucy Santana has been everywhere lately. He made his late night television debut on fall on last nightplaying his hit “Booty” with Latto, and he also recently performed his Madonna-inspired “Material Girl” with Madonna herself at Terminal 5 in New York. Now the two have teamed up for a new official remix of the song.

BIG BOSS VETTE – “SNATCHED” (REMIX ft. FLO MILLI & SAUCY SANTANA)
For even more Saucy Santana, he and Flo Milli just hopped on a new remix of the viral single “Snatched” by St. Louis rapper Big Boss Vette.

GLASS ANIMALS – “EVERYTHING IS INCREDIBLY LOUD” (KELLY LEE OWENS REMIX)
“I wanted to do a massive crush that rocks the summer,” Kelly Lee Owens says of her remix of Glass Animals’ “It’s All So Incredibly Loud.” Mission accomplished.

GOLDEN DAWN ARKESTRA – “JOIN AS ONE”
Texas psychedelic collective Golden Dawn Arkestra will release their new album The Gold Album next week, and before that they shared the jazzy and funky “Join as One”. See the video:
JOHN LEGEND – “ANYTHING SHE WANTS TO DO” (ft. SAWEETIE)
John Legend has announced a new double album, Legend, slated for September 9 via Republic. It features Jazmine Sullivan, Rapsody, JID, Rick Ross, Amber Mark, Jhene Aiko, Ty Dolla $ign, Jada Kingdom, and more, and lead single “All She Wanna Do” is a slice of retro funk with Saweetie.

JADA KINGDOM – “GPP”
As well as appearing on John Legend’s upcoming album, Jamaican singer Jada Kingdom also has her own new single, and he finds her singing along to a nostalgic ’50s ballad-style background.

SILVERSUN MICROPHONES – “ALONE ON A HILL”
Silversun Pickups have shared the second single from their upcoming album physical feelingsand this one is an ethereal, climactic song fueled by a powerful vocal performance from bassist Nikki Moninger who says she was channeling her inner Kate Bush for this one.

YBN NAHMIR – “WHERE I AM FROM”
YBN Nahmir represents his hometown of Alabama with this moody new song.

PANIC! AT THE DISCO – “LOCAL GOD”
Panic! at the Disco wrote their own “Summer of ’69” featuring “Local God”, which also borrows a bit from the “Dancing With Myself” riff.

SHERYL CROW – “CIRCLES” (POST MALONE COVER)
“I’m such a fan of Post Malone’s writing,” says Sheryl Crow of her new cover of her The Hollywood Bleed Track. “It’s always fun to take a good song and put your own stamp on it!” »

L’OSÉ – “GIRLS”
NYC’s Harrison Patrick Smith cites the early 2000s as inspiration for his current project The Dare. “There was so much fluidity – the Maison Kitsune remix EPs, the DFA remixes of Le Tigre or The Rakes, Diplo remixing Bloc Party etc. There’s a sense of optimism and openness to the underground music of this time that I feel like I’ve melted into gender camps again in the mid-2010s. I want to bring that feeling back.” You definitely get those early vibes on The Dare’s very cheeky “Girls.”

HELLRAZOR – “GATE OF HEAVEN”
Michael Falcone (Speedy Ortiz, Ovlov) leads New Haven, CT’s Hellrazor, which does grungy indie rock with a decidedly 90s vibe, inspired by Guided By Voices and Sebadoh. Their debut album, Heaven’s Gate, is out today.

THE WEEKND – “BEST FRIENDS” (REMIX ft. SUMMER WALKER)
The Weeknd has released a new remix of ‘Best Friends’ from his awesome new album Dawn FMand this version features R&B singer Summer Walker, who released her awesome new album always on it last fall and also made a notable appearance on Kendrick Lamar’s new album. Summer’s verse uses The Weeknd’s hook as a starting point, but she brings her own flair to it.

BLACK SOPRANO FAMILY – “TIMES IS ROUGH” (prod. DJ PREMIER)
Benny the Butcher’s Black Soprano Family has announced a new project, Long live DJ Shay, scheduled for September 9. The first single finds Benny, Rick Hyde and Heem dropping hardened bars to a beat from the legendary DJ Premier. Learn more here.
