Legendary Asha Bhosle, one of the greatest playback singers in the Indian film industry, has recorded over 10,000 songs for over 800 films. Even though all genres of music were within her vocal range, she particularly nailed sultry songs or Western-style songs. Asha Bhosle had a knack for making songs as the actress from Zeenat to Urmila smolders on screen like never before.

Asha Bhosle, just like her sister, the legendary Lata Mangeshkar, learned classical music from her father, Dinanath Mangeshkar, and it wasn’t long before she became a playback singer. She made her debut with the movie Chunaria in 1948. After which, it took a long way to reach the top. While from 1948 to 1957 she was the one who sang more songs than anyone, although they were all from small films or releases, and whatever big project she had was a collaborative song with great singers like Shamshad, Geeta Dutt or his sister Lata Mangeshkar. And unfortunately having a bad married life that isolated her from her family, she had no choice but to embark on all the projects that came her way to take care of her children.

She got her big break in 1957 with the release of some of her best songs with OP Nayyar. And after that, there was no turning back. So we have listed some of his classic songs.

1) At Ankhon Ke Masti Me

2)Dum Maro Dum
