28 new rap and R&B songs this week

We’ve had a ton of new music this week including tons of awesome new hip hop like the stacked bruised soundtrack (ft. Cardi B, Saweetie, Latto, City Girls, Young MA, Flo Milli, Rapsody and more), the Snoop dogg compilation (ft. Mount Westmore, Benny the Butcher, Jadakiss, Redman & Method Man, and more), the album Stalley & Apollo Brown, and the Projexx EP. We also have new singles from Earl Sweatshirt, Rico Nasty / Flo Milli, Your Old Droog (ft. Lil Ugly Mane & Billy Woods), Maxwell, Freddie Gibbs / Jadakiss, Saba, RAP Ferreira, Che Noir, Morray / Benny the Butcher , Big Boi / Sleepy Brown and EST GEE, plus three songs by Kaytranada (featuring HER, Thundercat and Mach-Hommy), and more. Rico Nasty is teaming up with Flo Milli and producer Boys Noize for this new rap bang, which you can read more about here.

YOUR OLD DROOG – “METEOR MAN” (ft. LIL UGLY MANE & BILLY WOODS)

The prolific New York rapper Your Old Droog follows the recent single “Yuri” with “Meteor Man”, which finds it associated with two very different staples of underground hip hop: Lil Ugly Mane and Billy Woods. Both songs will appear on his new album. Space bar, expected November 29 via Nature Sounds.

MAXWELL – “OFF”

The great R & B / neo-soul Maxwell has announced his first album in six years and shared the lead single “OFF”, which you can read more about here.

FREDDIE GIBBS – “BLACK ILLUMINATI” (ft. JADAKISS)

Freddie Gibbs released singles as he prepares for his debut album for Warner, and today he’s coming back with a new one, “Black Illuminati,” which you can read more about here.

SABA – “STOP IT”

Saba shared a new single from her upcoming album Few good things and revealed that the LP is released on February 4 via Pivot Gang. Compared to the previous funky single “Fearmonger”, this one finds the Chicago rapper focused on incisive lyricism.

KAYTRANADA – INTIMIDATED EP (ft. THUNDERCAT, MACH-HOMMY & HER)

Montreal producer Kaytranada has released a new three-song EP with very cool guests on each song: there’s the punchy R&B of “Intimidated” (ft. HER), the soul glitch of “Be Careful” (ft. Thundercat) and the electro-avant-rap of “$ payforhaiti” (ft. Mach-Hommy).

RAP FERREIRA – “EAST NASHVILLE”

RAP Ferreira will be releasing a new album on Black Friday, and you can read more about the single “East Nashville” here.

CHE NOIR – “PRAISE”

Buffalo rapper Che Noir will be releasing a new album in December, and you can read more about lead single “Praises” here.

KANYE WEST – “PARTY LIFE” (ft. ANDRE 3000)

After Drake leaked it, Kanye has now officially released Andre 3000’s “Life of the Party” on a new expanded edition of his 2021 album. Donda.

KOJEY RADICAL – “GANGSTA”

British rapper / singer Kojey Radical is set to release a new album in 2022, and it will feature new single “Gangsta”, which is a touching ode to his mother that oscillates between punchy rap and jazz-infused soul.

YENDRY & J BALVIN – “INSTINTO”

Italy-via-Dominican Republic Latin pop singer Yendry (from Materianera) is booming as a solo artist, and she now has a new song with J Balvin.

DAVIDO & FOCALISTIC – “CHAMPION SOUND”

Afrobeats star Davido teams up with Focalistic for the new single “Champion Sound”, which finds Davido singing to a thick, airy and futuristic production.

WILLOW – “TRANSPARENT SOUL” (REMIX ft. KID CUDI)

WILLOW has released a new remix of his catchy pop punk song “transparentsoul” assisted by Travis Barker, and this new version breaks with pop punk for an acoustic bridge with the guest voice of Kid Cudi.

MORRAY – “NEVER FAIL” (ft. BENNY THE BUTCHER)

Morray has become one of the brightest new voices in the soul / rap crossover moment, and Benny the Butcher is one of today’s best torchbearers for ’90s East Coast rap. styles come together on “Never Fail”.

EAST GEE – “LAMBORGHINI GEESKI”

Up-and-coming Louisville rapper EST Gee tracks recent album Bigger than life or death with the disturbing new single “Lamborghini Geeski” which suggests it is only getting better.

BIG BOI & SLEEPY BROWN – “ANIMALZ”

Big Boi and Sleepy Brown’s collaborative album The big pajama party will be released on December 10th and will feature this new funk / soul / rap hybrid, “Animalz”.

ISAIAH RASHAD – “RIP YOUNG” (REMIX ft. PROJECT PAT & JUICY J)

Isaiah Rashad has released a deluxe edition of The house is on fire, and one of the bonus tracks is a remix of “RIP Young” featuring veteran Memphis rappers (and brothers) Juicy J and Project Pat.

WRECK WAY (STYLES P & HAVOC) – “NIGHTMARES 2 DREAMS”

Wreckage Manner is the new project of Styles P of The LOX and Havoc of Mobb Deep, and their self-titled debut album is released on December 3 via MNRK. The debut single “Nightmares 2 Dreams” is carved out of the classic 90s New York rap that these two helped define.

DJ HARRISON – “COSMOS” (ft. PINK SIIFU)

DJ Harrison is releasing a new album, Tales of the Old Dominion, on December 3 via Stones Throw, and the new single “Cosmos” is a psychedelic rap song with the lead vocals of Pink Siifu.

COZZ – “ACCRO”

Dreamville’s Cozz returns with a new single, “Addicted”, and it’s a thoughtful, jazz-infused rap song in the 90s style.

–

ROD WAVE – “ON YOUR STATE”

Soul trap pioneer Rod Wave is back with a new song, and this one finds it interpolating “Hey There Delilah”.

–

KALI – “MMM MMM” (REMIX ft. ATL JACOB, LATTO & MONEYBAGG YO)

Kali recently followed the groundbreaking single “Do A Bitch” with the equally awesome “MMM MMM”, and now this song has a new remix with two big guests: Latto and Moneybagg Yo. Their verses make an already good song even better.

LOOPY FERRELL – “BACK DOOR” (ft. BENNY THE BUTCHER)

Mount Vernon rapper NY Loopy Ferrell to release new album In The Loop We Trust, Vol. 1 in December. It includes songs with G Herbo, Asian Doll and Benny the Butcher, the latter being on the new single “Back Door”. Classic, grainy New York rap fans, don’t sleep on this one.

IBEYI – “MADE OF GOLD” (ft. PA SALIEU)

Ibeyi, the Afro-Cuban duo, French twins Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Diaz, are preparing for their third album, which is due in 2022. Most details are yet to be determined, but the first single “Made of Gold” ( ft. UK rapper Pa Salieu) is out now, and it’s a very promising taste.

LEON BRIDGES – “SUMMER RAIN” (ft. JAZMINE SULLIVAN)

Leon Bridges just released a deluxe edition of this year Sound of gold diggers, and that includes this lush and moving collaboration with the great Jazmine Sullivan.
