Hal Blaine, drummer of the legendary Demolition team, died yesterday (March 11) at the age of 90.

The number of hits Blaine has played on is simply amazing. Through Modern drummer, Blaine has performed on over 35,000 tracks. Of those songs, 6,000 were singles. Various jingles, television themes and film scores have also been peppered in his recording career.

Basically when Brian wilson called him “the greatest drummer of all time” in a tribute via Twitter, he wasn’t kidding.
